- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
- Monthly emergency drills so children and staff are prepared for emergencies
Our Transitional Kindergarten Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Nancy
I have been a preschool teacher since 2021, and I absolutely love working with young children. I hold an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies.
One of my favorite things about teaching is all the love I receive from the children each day. Their joy and curiosity make every moment special. I especially enjoy storytime, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of my favorite books to read with my students.
Outside of the classroom, I love celebrating Christmas and Día de los Muertos with my family. One of my favorite traditions is our annual summer camping trip, where we all come together to enjoy nature and quality time. At home, I speak Spanish and share my space with my adorable pug, Toby.
In my free time, I enjoy crafting and finding new creative projects to work on.
Ms. Deanna
I was introduced to the world of Early Childhood Education in 1988. I fell in love and began my journey. I’ve enjoyed many years of meeting new children and supporting their growth and development. I enjoy getting to know all of the different personalities. Watching them develop and observing all of their accomplishments is very rewarding.
