Our Infant Classroom
We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Our Infant Classroom Teachers & Staff

Ms. Howida
I have a passion for both cooking and working with children, which makes my role at the school incredibly rewarding. With a background in Culinary Arts and Early Childhood, I love creating meals that nourish and bring joy to the children each day.
In addition to cooking, I enjoy the arts and finding creative ways to make food fun and engaging. One of my favorite books is Harry Potter, as it brings a sense of magic and adventure—just like a great meal can!
I celebrate Eid and observe Ramadan, which are important traditions in my home. During these times, I enjoy sharing the significance of these celebrations with family and friends.
I speak Arabic and have both a dog and a cat who keep me company at home. In my free time, I like to relax and unwind by watching TV.

Ms. Annette
I have been working with children for 30 years, and I still love every moment of it! I have completed 24 units in Early Child Care Education, which has helped me create a fun and engaging learning environment for my students.
One of the best parts of working with young children is that I get to be silly with them! Their laughter and imagination make every day exciting. One of my favorite books to share is Snow White, a timeless story that always captivates little minds.
Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I also love celebrating Cinco de Mayo with my family. Birthdays are especially important to me—I enjoy making them special for my loved ones.
I speak English and love spending time cooking, both at work and at home. There’s something so rewarding about creating meals that bring people together.

Ms. Hilda
I have the joy of working with infants, and every day, I am greeted by their adorable faces, which makes my job so special. I hold a certificate in early childhood education and love being part of their early development and care.
One of my favorite children’s books is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom—its fun rhythm and colorful illustrations always make storytime enjoyable. Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I also love celebrating Easter with my family.
A cherished tradition in my family is our yearly get-together, where we come together to share laughter, memories, and great food. At home, I speak Spanish and love spending time with my children. They are my greatest joy, and I cherish every moment with them.

Ms. Aileen
I have 20 years of experience working with children. I’ve completed 15 units in Early Childhood Education, and throughout my time in this field, I’ve found that one of the things I love most is how honest and transparent children are about their feelings — it’s such a refreshing and rewarding part of working with them.
My favorite children’s book is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss — it’s always fun to read with kids! I love celebrating both Thanksgiving and Christmas, but one of my family’s most special traditions happens right after Thanksgiving. We all get together again to enjoy delicious turkey sandwiches called pan con chumpe, made with a secret mole sauce recipe passed down from my grandmothers in El Salvador.
The 4th of July is another big celebration for my family — we always go all out for it! I speak both Spanish and English, and while I don’t have any pets now, I’ll always have fond memories of my sweet black cat, Lucky.
In my free time, I love listening to all kinds of music, reading, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I’m excited to bring my passion for teaching and my love for connection to the amazing children and families at our school!

Ms. Tina
My experience in child care began with caring for my own children, which inspired me to pursue Early Childhood Education at Diablo Valley College. One of my favorite things about working with children is hearing their laughter — it’s such a joyful sound that brightens my day.
My favorite children’s book is Llama Llama, and Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love spending time with my family watching Christmas movies — it’s a tradition I always look forward to.
I speak both English and Spanish, and at home, I have three pets: Fluffy, Coco, and Cheeto. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and reading books.
I’m excited to be part of this wonderful school community and look forward to creating special memories with the children in my care!

Ms. Mirna
I’m Ms. Mirna. I wanted to tell you a little about myself.
I have been babysitting for three years and am actively working on my ECE units. I love watching children grow and creating a safe place for them.
I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family!

Ms. Shnyar
I come from an educational family – my father was a university language professor, and my mother is a chemistry teacher. Following in their footsteps, I became a Kurdish grammar teacher in high school while also working as a Persian interpreter in Kurdistan. After moving to the US nearly three years ago, I completed my ECE classes to become a qualified teacher. Since then, I have worked as an infant teacher for two years and gained an additional eight months of experience teaching other age groups. My background reflects a lifelong dedication to education, language, and supporting children’s growth and learning.
