Franchise Owners
Katie DeSciose and Veronica Cole
Meet Katie DeSciose and Veronica Cole, owners of Primrose School at Falling Waters. As a former long-time teacher and school administrator, Katie understood the value and difference in what Primrose Schools had to offer children and their families. The high quality education practices Primrose offered, paired with character development and a focus on development of the whole child, matched Katie’s personal core values and what she knew was a critical advantage when educating children. “One of the aspects that drew me to Primrose is that they prepare children both for learning and for life,” said Katie. “Beyond academics, which are very important, Primrose also emphasizes that who children become is just as important as what they know. Primrose understands that character development is so essential to having a happy life and maximizing one’s potential.”
Katie graduated from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She later graduated from Creighton University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration.
Veronica Cole was originally hired as the Education Director before the school even opened its doors for the first time. Next Veronica transitioned into the role of Director and served in that role for many years. Veronica was thrilled with the opportunity to join Katie as a co-owner continuing her exciting Primrose journey. As a Primrose parent herself, Veronica recognized the deep value in quality education and care for children. Veronica and Ryan are proud parents of two boys who attended Primrose School at Falling Waters in the school’s early years. As parents, they were seeking a place where their boys could receive quality care and an early education differentiated to meet their specific needs. Veronica explained, “When a child has the opportunity to experience the research-based Balanced Learning approach which incorporates purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers, they grow into curious, creative, confident, and compassionate learners,”
Veronica earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Family Sciences from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. She worked as a preschool teacher and then transitioned into the world of social work for many years before coming to Primrose.
Katie and Veronica have established deep roots in the foundation and ongoing life of the Primrose School at Falling Waters community. As on-site owners, they enjoy daily interactions with families and teachers and place a high priority on developing the positive and professional culture within the school. Primrose School at Falling waters has been designated as an on-site training school for new franchisees, and they both enjoy sharing their passion for all Primrose can be to people just beginning their Primrose journeys.
