Our Preschool Classroom
Your 3-year-old is opening up their world, developing special friendships, learning new words and forming new ideas every day. Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

I have always had a passion to work with children since many of my family members are teachers. My goal with the children I work with is to build caring and supportive connections to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and cared for when in my care. I also have an esthetician license and graduated esthetician school in 2024. One of my favorite hobbies is golfing. I love golfing on the weekends with my brother and friends. When I am not working, I am taking care of my two huskies (Hudson & Bowie).

Gail Walsh
Hello, I’m Gail Walsh! I’m excited to be a part of Primrose School caring for the babies.
I moved to Murfreesboro from Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1991. I have a degree in Psychology and have worked for TEIS as well as another preschool as an infant teacher. The job experience I value the most was raising and educating my own five children, instilling in them a life long love of learning.
One of my favorite children’s book series is the Amelia Bedelia books. I love being active outside-walking, gardening, and enjoying God’s creation. I recently got my Real Estate license so I will be at Primrose part time in the afternoons.

Karen Swenson
Hi! My name is Karen Swenson. I have only one adult son. I am a granny of two, Braelyn and Oakleigh.
I enjoy taking the grandkids to feed the ducks at Gateway Island during the spring and summer.
I have been married for 31 years. I love to read but I have a part time job on the weekends, so I don’t get a lot of time to read. I enjoy writing my thoughts down in a journal.
I was a stay-at-home mom for 9 years and worked part-time in a daycare as the cook for a year. I watched neighborhood children for 5 years after that before joining my church nursery. I became a full-time daycare co-teacher in 2019 before coming to Primrose.
I am so excited to be a part of your children’s lives as they grow!
