Our Infant Classroom
We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.
Nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Hannah Grissom
I’m Hannah. I wanted to tell you a little about myself.
I was born in Alabama but raised here in Murfreesboro all my life. I have a cat named Athena who is a multi-colored Tabby. She and I love snuggles and reading books. One of my old favs is Percy Jackson!
I also enjoy hiking and recently I have been working on some art, both digital and physical. Sometimes I will go roller skating and bring my table so I can draw what is around me.
Fun fact: I have a twin brother named Joshua and two older siblings as well. I plan to use my love for reading and the outdoors to help teach and entertain your child in what ever classroom I go in!
I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

Denise Thomas
I was born and raised in Indiana. I married my husband at the age of 19 and we have six children. I started my childcare career in 1990 working with preschoolers. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with Infants through school age children.
My passion for quality childcare led me to open my own childcare center in 2007. This was Rising Stars Academy, located in Franklin, TN. After seven years I decided to close the center and help my church open their daycare center. After many years of being a director, I have decided to return to the classroom.
I enjoy taking family vacations and cooking. My favorite color is red. I like to eat good, savory foods and deserts like cakes and peach cobbler.
