Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Miss Michelle

Preschool Teacher

Hi! My name is Michelle Gutierrez. I’ve always had a deep love for learning and a desire to make a difference in others’ lives, which is why I’ve been dedicated to education since 2015. Inspired by my own kindergarten teacher who had such a lasting impact on me, I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a teacher. This drive has led me to pursue higher education, attending Evergreen Valley college and San Jose State University. Outside of my teaching career, l love exploring new places, especially on walks with my dogs. I’m excited to be a part of Primrose, where I can continue to grow professionally while positively influencing young lives, just as my teachers did for me.

Hi, I’m Sam, and I’m thrilled to join the Primrose team! I have a degree in child development with a focus on early childhood. My education and experience as a preschool teacher has prepared me to offer your children quality care and education in a warm, welcoming environment. I am dedicated to helping children become lifelong learners and kind individuals. It’s important that children feel loved and cared for by their teachers, and I strive to give them my absolute best. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, cooking homemade meals, exploring new places, and practicing self-care. I couldn’t be more excited to help children create memorable experiences with their peers and teachers.

Miss Jasmine

Preschool Teacher

Hello! My name is Jasmine. I am from the Philippines. I come from a family of teachers, starting with my grandmother, father, and my sister. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching Preschool for over 6 years, and I’m very excited and happy to be a part of the Primrose Family.

I really love to see how kids grow, explore, and discover new things and learn. Being a part of their learning journey, seeing them happy, and watching them grow as a whole (Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts) are some of the best and most fulfilling aspects of being a teacher.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, and bonding with my family and friends.

Hi, I am Ashamol Kattakayam. I was born and raised in India. I graduated from MG University in Kerala and majored in World History. I came to the US after I got married and I have a son who is studying at UC Davis. I am looking forward to teaching at Primrose School of Evergreen.

Miss Mansi

Venture Program - Support Teacher

Hello, I am Mansi. This is my 2nd year of teaching 2’s and 3’s. My journey started as volunteering in my son’s school. During that time, I realized that I really like being around kids. I love spending time with my family when I am not in my classroom. I love tea, teaching, travelling and cooking. I received my masters and bachelors in commerce from India. Now I am continuing my education in early childhood. Making a difference in each child’s life and helping families with respect is rewarding in itself. My passion for serving kids made me realize I am in the right place. I love having fun classes with learning and enjoying the day.

Small Group Math: Time to Weigh in!

Our Preschool students used a balance scale to help weigh different objects around the classroom. They learned that when the side that moves lower towards the table is the side that is holding the heavier object. They used their hands to predict the weight of each object.

Project Time Early Art Masters: Motion with Paul Klee (Part 1)

In Preschool, our students learned about a new artist named Paul Klee. We noticed how lines in art can remind us of motion and used glue and yarn to create various shaped lines.

Small Group Literacy: Poem Experts

Our preschool students reviewed uppercase and lowercase letters, explored letters G, H, and I through sky writing, sandpaper tracing, and whiteboard practice. We also enjoyed reading and singing our “Magnets, Magnets” poem together while pointing to each word.

Children Poem

At small group lesson, the students learned a new poem about children being alike and different. After reciting the poem, the students noticed the rhyming words and shared about how they are alike and different to their peers.

Circle Time in Preschool

During our circle time, the children go through the classroom such as the Attendance, Pledge of Allegiance, Rules of the Roost, Calendar, Weather, and Plan for the Day. With the season changing, the children look out the window to see what the weather is like today and draw it on the whiteboard. With the help of our Primrose friend Benjamin the Bear, the children dressed him appropriately for the fall season.

Small Group Literacy

During our rhyming activity, the children were provided with their name cards. They were invited to to notice if they have the letters Aa or Bb in their name. The children began to sing the ABC song and stopped after B. They practiced the letter and sound recognition, the practiced writing the letter.

Letter B!

The children practice writing the letter B in the air, then worked on their fine motor skills as they wrote the uppercase and lowercase Bb several times on the whiteboard.

Dramatic Play in Preschool

Dramatic play is not just fun- it's a vital part of child development! It encourages creativity, enhances social skills through team work, promotes language and helps build fine motor skills as they engage in hands on activities. We love seeing our students learn and grow through play!

Writing Center: Family Writing

At the write center, the children practiced writing a story about their family. It could be a real story (non-fiction) or an imaginary story (fiction) or imagine a new adventure their family can go on.
