Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Mrs. Mainali
Transitional Kindergarten Lead Teacher
Mrs. Mainali joins us from Virginia where she worked for 16 years with the Pre-K aged children. She has been married for 15 years and has two sons who attend CISD. She loves traveling and is anxious to teach the children of our Transitional Kindergarten classroom.

Mrs. Sherman
Transitional Kindergarten Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Sherman, who is from Sunnyvale, California, loves to read memoirs and spend time with her dog. She has previously taught in public and private schools as a certified teacher. Her eagerness to share her love of helping develop young minds is what drove her to join our school.

Healthy Minds and Healthy Bodies
Each day our children are served balanced, nutritious meals like breakfast, lunch and snacks. Specifically our Venture Program, which includes our Transitional Kindergarten , offers an additional program from Chef Stacy. She brings her knowledge of healthy fruits and vegetables into our classrooms monthly providing the educational background of the item as well as offering a fun way for the children to try the items in a snack form.
