Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Mr. Leonhard
Mr. Leonhard brings an energetic, positive, and engaging approach to the classroom each day. He has gained valuable experience working with children through many hours of shadowing teachers and serving as a camp counselor for various basketball camps. Mr. Leonhard graduated from Sheboygan South High School and is currently a junior at Carroll University.
Outside of school, Mr. Leonhard enjoys playing basketball and golf, spending time with friends, and playing video games. He enjoys staying active and finding opportunities to learn new skills both on and off the court.
One of Mr. Leonhard’s favorite parts of working with children is their natural curiosity and eagerness to learn. He loves that children ask so many questions and are constantly discovering new things about the world around them. He enjoys encouraging their curiosity and helping them grow in confidence as learners.
This school year, Mr. Leonhard is especially excited for snack time, field trips, reading, and story time, as these moments provide wonderful opportunities to connect with children and create meaningful learning experiences. His favorite children’s book is The Little Engine That Could, a story that teaches perseverance, confidence, and the importance of believing in yourself.

Ms. Yehle
Ms. Yehle brings an enthusiastic, caring, and encouraging approach to the classroom each day. Her experience working with children includes coaching gymnastics for children ages 3 to 13, as well as student teaching in schools throughout both high school and college. Ms. Yehle graduated from Brookfield Central High School and is currently pursuing her degree at UW–La Crosse.
Outside of school, Ms. Yehle enjoys staying active by working out, spending time outdoors, and making memories with friends and family. She loves being active and appreciates opportunities to connect with others and enjoy nature.
One of Ms. Yehle’s favorite parts of working with children is watching them accomplish their goals and grow as individuals. She enjoys encouraging children to challenge themselves, build confidence, and celebrate their achievements along the way. She loves helping children discover their strengths and supporting them as they learn and develop new skills.
This school year, Ms. Yehle is especially excited for the many field trips and adventures planned throughout the summer. She looks forward to creating fun memories with her students while helping them explore and learn through new experiences. Her favorite children’s book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, a timeless story that highlights kindness, generosity, and friendship.
