Our Early Preschool Classroom
Many 2-year-olds want to do everything by themselves. And why not? It’s their way of experimenting and learning to understand the world. Early Preschool teachers provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child can explore and stretch their talents to the fullest all while building self-confidence. Your child will have fun every day as they play and learn important academic skills, social skills and more.
Nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®

Our Early Preschool Classroom Teachers & Staff

Mrs. Powell
Hello, my name is Crystal Powell. Let me tell you a little about me. I am originally from Loyal, WI and I currently live with my husband, David in Vadnais Heights, MN. I received my diploma in Child Care from Chippewa Valley Technical College, and I have been working with toddlers since May 2000. When I’m not at Primrose, I can be found cooking on a food trailer that my husband and I just started in August of 2022 and doing crafts, mostly string art.

Ms. Vang
Hello! My name is Panhia Vang. I graduated with an AAS in Networking. I grew up and lived in Saint Paul all my life. When I am not working, I like to read a good book or watch a good show. I also enjoy cuddling with my dog, Peanut. I love to try new food and love to travel!

Ms. Bluntson
Hi, my name is Ms. Bluntson! I’m so excited to begin my journey in early childhood education here at Primrose. Before joining the Primrose family, I worked in the service industry, where I developed strong communication and relationship-building skills that I now bring into the classroom. I also have prior experience working with young children, and I’ve always had a passion for helping them learn and grow. As I truly believe that children are our future, and by building positive relationships with them today, we’re investing in a brighter tomorrow.

Ms. Yock
Hello! I am Amanda Yock. I grew up in Lake Crystal, MN, which is a very small town. I decided to move up to the East Metro in 2023 and have been in the Woodbury area since. I love the city living with my cat, Binx. I have always had a passion for working with children of all ages. I have been working with children since I was fifteen years old. In my free time, you can find me working out at the gym. I am so happy to be a part of Primrose Schools and look forward to getting to know all the wonderful children and families!

Ms. McKay
Hi! I’m Joann McKay and I am passionate about providing nurturing, high-quality care to children in their early years. I’m currently working toward my Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and love helping children learn, grow and feel supported every step of the way. It’s an honor to be a part of the Primrose School of Woodbury team and to make a difference in each child’s day. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, playing volleyball and pickleball, going to concerts, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
