Our Pre-Kindergarten Classroom

Primrose® introduces and reinforces new information through playful exploration, teacher-guided inquiry and rich discussion as they help foster Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. Your child will have fun every day as they play and learn important academic skills, social skills and more, because when they are mentally, physically and emotionally ready to learn a skill, they develop mastery.

  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Ms. McConico
Assistant Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Ms. McConico joins us with three years of experience in childcare. She just finished high school and is looking into going back to school for elementary education. Ms. McConico’s favorite primrose puppet is Erwin because he loves to celebrate birthdays and friends. Going outside is her favorite time of day because she gets to run and play with the kids. She wants the kids to feel confident and loved when they are in her care. As they get ready to move up to the next classroom, Ms. McConico wants the kids to love learning and continue that on as they learn new things. We are excited for Ms. McConico to be a part of our Primrose Family!

Lead Teacher- Pre-k

Ms. Thomas joins us with over 10 years of experience  with children. Ms. Thomas went to school for graphic design but hopes to go back to school for early childhood development. Ms. Thomas loves to show off her creative side, which is why Irwin is her favorite puppet. Literacy and project time are her favorite times of the day with her students. She loves watching the lightbulb moments. When children are in her care, she wants them to feel confident, loved, smart, and capable. Before leaving her classroom, Ms. Thomas wants the kids to be confident in writing and their overall readiness for kindergarten. We are so excited to have Ms. Thomas as a part of our Primrose Family!

Our family would love to meet yours.
