Our Early Preschool Classroom

Many 2-year-olds want to do everything by themselves. And why not? It’s their way of experimenting and learning to understand the world. Early Preschool teachers provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child can explore and stretch their talents to the fullest all while building self-confidence. Your child will have fun every day as they play and learn important academic skills, social skills and more.

Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Ms. Marquez
Lead Teacher Early Preschool

Ms. Marquez joins us with close to three years of experience in early childhood care and is working on getting her degree in childhood education. Arturo is her favorite primrose pal because she loves how he speaks Spanish. Outdoor time is her favorite time of the day because she gets to watch all the kids play and run off some energy. When children are in her care, she wants them to feel understood and safe. When it comes time to move up to the next class, she wants her kids to be able to feel comfortable enough to learn while also showing off what they already know. Ms. Marquez enjoys taking each topic being taught and personalizing it with each child. We are so excited to have Ms. Marquez as a part of our Primrose Family!

Ms. Matlock
Assistant Teacher Early Preschool

Ms. Matlock joins Primrose with over 35 years of experience in childcare, bringing a wealth of knowledge, passion, and heart to our school community. Her favorite Primrose Pal is Katie the Cat because, like Katie, she loves helping children develop important life skills and learn how to care for one another. Her favorite time of day is simply any moment she gets to spend with the children—guiding them, encouraging them, and helping shape their early learning experiences. When little ones are in her care, Ms. Matlock wants them to feel completely safe, truly wanted, and deeply loved. One of her biggest goals before children transition to the next classroom is supporting their growth in potty training, helping them build independence and confidence. She also enjoys singing with—and to—the kids, as nothing makes her happier than seeing their faces light up with joy. We are delighted to welcome Ms. Matlock to our Primrose family and look forward to all the warmth and positivity she brings to our classrooms each day.

Our family would love to meet yours.
