Welcome to Primrose Schools!
We are Emily and Bryce Durke, owners of Primrose School of Wheat Ridge at Applewood. We are thrilled to bring the Primrose School curriculum and exceptional programming to Wheat Ridge and our surrounding communities.
I (Emily) have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and have been an educator in the Cherry Creek School District for the past ten years. Caring for and teaching children is my passion. As an educator, I have seen firsthand the impact a strong foundation has for students’ success. That led me to Primrose and the research-based Balanced Learning® approach.
Bryce’s construction and business background have been instrumental in bringing Primrose to Wheat Ridge. After having young children in Northwest Denver, and trying to find the ideal childcare setting, we recognized the need for quality early childhood education in our own community.
We are committed to creating an environment we would want for our own children. We work hard to provide a safe and nurturing family atmosphere, and do not take lightly the trust a parent places in us when they leave their child in our care.
Who children become is as important as what they know is a belief that is at the core of our Balanced Learning® approach. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion.
