Teachers & Staff

Kimberly Stevens
With over 25 years of experience working with children, I have dedicated my career to nurturing young minds and supporting the teachers who guide them every day. I am originally from Massachusetts, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and began my journey as both a classroom teacher and administrator. After welcoming my second child, I continued pursuing my passion for early childhood education as a nanny – a role that gave me a deep, personal perspective on what families truly need from a childcare team. Seven years ago I relocated to South Carolina, and since then I have returned to the classroom and into leadership as a childcare director, bringing every chapter of my career full circle. I am deeply committed to creating positive, supportive learning environments where children can grow, explore, and thrive, and I believe that investing in our children means investing in the future. I am honored to be part of that important work every single day. Outside of work, I am a huge Disney fan, I love spending time with family, and I have a dog named Brodie who keeps life fun and lively. My two children are both studying at USC, which is a proud mom moment I never take for granted! And yes — I am absolutely that person who puts Christmas decorations up early. Every year, without fail.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favourite Primrose Friend is Percy! He is not only our mascot, but he teaches children that true courage means doing the right thing even when it is scary or hard – and that bravery shows up in both big ways and small.

Vanessa Venditti
I am so excited to be part of the Primrose Waxhaw family! I am a proud mom of five amazing kids — four girls and one boy — and I am originally from Naugatuck, CT. Over the past 20-plus years, I have worn many hats in early childhood education: parent, teacher, homeschooler, and school leader. Each of those roles has shaped my deep belief that learning should be joyful and meaningful, and that children flourish when the adults around them are warm, consistent, and genuinely invested in who they are becoming. I am passionate about creating a welcoming space where families feel truly supported and connected, and I cannot wait to build those relationships with you. When I am not at Primrose, you will probably find me at a concert or outdoor festival — I love every genre of music from Country to Reggae, and my friends have nicknamed me ‘Snow White’ for my love of nature and animals! I also enjoy gardening, karaoke, and yes, I ride motorcycles. Life is too short not to! I share it all with my loveable beagle, Luka Luciano Lucaze, who has the most personality of anyone in the household.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favourite Primrose Friend is OG, because he loves 90s Hip Hop — and honestly, so do I!

Ms. Kylie
My name is Kylie, and I am originally from Branchburg, New Jersey. I met my husband in high school, and we have been together ever since — some things are just meant to be! Together we have a daughter named Kennedy, who is truly the centre of our world and the reason I fall even more in love with this season of life every single day. I have always known I was meant to be a teacher. That calling led me to study early childhood education in college, and along the way I also had the incredible opportunity to study American Sign Language and work alongside the deaf community — an experience that deepened my understanding of how children communicate, connect, and find their voice in all kinds of ways. I have now been working in childcare for over 11 years, including the past three as an Education Director. My passion goes beyond the classroom — I love empowering teachers, strengthening curriculum, and making sure every child has a meaningful, joyful learning experience. Outside of work, I love travelling with my family and I have a little tradition I am very proud of: I collect a Christmas ornament from every place we visit, so our tree is full of memories. Christmas is my absolute favourite holiday, even more so now that I get to create that special magic for Kennedy — there is truly nothing like seeing it through a child’s eyes. I love any kind of Italian food (pizza and pasta are my love languages!), and in the classroom my go-to read-aloud is From Head to Toe by Eric Carle. My favourite thing about this work, above everything else, is watching children bloom and grow. I truly love children more than anything, and being trusted to be part of their development is something I never take for granted.
Favourite Primrose Friend and Why: My favourite Primrose Friend is Molly the Cow, because she is such a beautiful example of respect and kindness — values I try to model every single day. It makes it even more special that my daughter Kennedy loves her too, especially when Molly sings opera. We both love it!

Ms. Sharon
I grew up in New Rochelle, NY, and moved to South Carolina to give my children a better life – and I live by the belief that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I love spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, reading, taking walks, and trying new restaurants. I have approximately ten years of childcare experience, always in an infant room, and my heart truly belongs with the youngest little ones. My greatest joy in this work is showing children love and experiencing that love given right back – there is truly nothing like it.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favorite Primrose Friend is Benjamin the Bear, because he shows children that they can be kind and give to others without expecting anything in return. I also love that he helps with the weather – I am a big weather watcher!

Ms. Olivia
I was adopted from Peru and raised in a big, warm Italian family, and family has always been everything to me. I am a mom to my 13-year-old son and a proud aunt to nine nieces and nephews – I call them my nuggets! When I am not at Primrose, you will find me diamond painting, reading, playing video games, or heading outdoors, all with my tuxedo cat Chichi by my side. I spent nearly ten years as a Registered Behaviour Technician doing one-on-one ABA therapy with children in daycares, homes, and clinic settings, and my favorite part of this work is watching children grow and develop into the best versions of themselves.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favorite Primrose Friend is Erwin the dog, because he represents friendship — and I believe that friends are so important in every single stage of life!

Ms. Shreosi
I am originally from Kolkata, India, and I moved to the United States in 2010 with my husband. We now live together with our daughter, and she is truly the light of my life. I am a creative person at heart – I love writing and illustrating children’s books, painting, cooking, and doing makeup, and I even worked as an interior designer back in India! My life philosophy is to treat people with kindness, keep learning, and always try to make a positive difference wherever I can. My childcare journey began in 2016 working with infants in Minnesota – also at a Primrose – and after two years at Big Blue Marble Academy, I am so happy to be back here every day.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favourite Primrose Friend is Molly the Cow, because she teaches essential lessons in respect and kindness, helping children learn how to get along with others and create a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels welcome.

BellaRese
I am originally from Shelton, CT, and I love being outdoors — going to the beach, thrifting for unique finds, tending to my garden, and staying active with my two-and-a-half-year-old Black Labrador, Kohdai. I have two years of childcare experience, starting as a floater across classrooms before stepping into a lead teacher role in a two-year-old room. What I love most about working with children is that you can truly see the impact you have on them — whether it is helping them grasp something new or simply being someone they feel safe with, those moments feel genuinely meaningful to me. My favourite food is chicken Alfredo, and Christmas is my favorite holiday.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favorite Primrose Friend is Peanut the Horse, because he shows children how telling the truth builds trust and creates strong relationships — and I think that is such an important foundation to lay early.

Ms. Gabriela
I am originally from El Pedernal, El Salvador, so Spanish is my first language, and I grew up surrounded by a strong sense of family and community. I started babysitting at a young age, which helped me develop patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children. I hold a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, which has given me a deeper understanding of how children learn and communicate – something I bring into everything I do in the classroom. I believe in kindness, consistency, and finding joy in the everyday, and my favorite things outside of work are working out, arts and crafts, and a really good plate of steak tacos.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favorite Primrose Friend is Benjamin the Bear, because he represents generosity – and I truly believe that the real joy is in the act of giving itself, not in expecting anything in return.

Ms Kyla
I come from a military family – both of my parents served in the Army – so I grew up learning discipline, flexibility, and how to adapt to different environments. I am also a proud mom to my baby girl, who brings so much joy and meaning to my life every single day. My relationship with God is at the center of everything I do, and I truly aspire to live a life that is impactful and makes a difference. Prior to Primrose I worked as a Pre-K teacher, and my favorite thing about working with children is seeing their light shine and grow brighter as they learn and explore the world around them.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favourite Primrose Friend is Ally the Bunny, because she teaches children such important life skills in such a gentle, relatable way. I love how she encourages responsibility and kindness while helping children slow down and think before they act — she really models what it looks like to grow into a thoughtful and compassionate person.

Ms. Brittany
I am from Fort Mill, SC, and I am a motivated, faith-driven person who is currently continuing my education online with a focus on business administration and human resources. My faith in God is truly the center of my life — it gives me strength, keeps me grounded, and guides me to act with purpose, integrity, and grace. Being a parent has shaped me in the most beautiful ways, teaching me patience and the importance of leading by example. I have four years of childcare teaching experience and two additional years as a public school substitute, working with children from infancy all the way through 8th grade.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My favorite Primrose Friend is Percy, because he represents leadership — a value I hold close to my heart in every area of my life. I am always striving to lead and rise to every occasion.

Ms. Haley
I am 26 years old and originally from Columbia, South Carolina, though I now live in Monroe with my fiance and our twin daughters. I love mountain trips with family, photography, geocaching, and reading during my quiet moments. Before joining Primrose, I spent five years as a Preschool Photographer – a job I loved – but I felt called to something with more connection and consistency, and I found exactly that here. I believe in honesty, kindness, and the power of teamwork, and my Favorite thing about working with children is witnessing those incredible ‘aha’ moments when you can see understanding light up their faces.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My Favorite Primrose Friend is Benjamin the Bear! He believes in generosity, kindness, and giving without expecting anything in return – qualities I am so passionate about nurturing in children.

Ms. Marissa
I love spending time outdoors – exercising, gardening, and working on creative projects like sewing keep me grounded and happy. My Favorite book is Dune, and my go-to drink is green tea. I bring a multilingual and multicultural background to my teaching, having worked as a Nanny, Assistant Teacher, and Spanish, Mandarin, and Culture Teacher for children ages two through five. My Favorite thing about working with children is watching them build confidence through play and discovery – seeing that spark of self-belief grow is incredibly special.
Favorite Primrose Friend and Why: My Favorite Primrose Friend is Mia the Mouse, because she represents citizenship and encourages children to stay active and develop positive values and healthy habits – lessons I think are so important from a young age.

In between, I spent ten years working for a school district, but childcare is truly where my heart has always been. Franchise Owners
Sneha and Manthan Makadia
Welcome to Primrose School of Waxhaw! We are Sneha and Manthan Makadia, a physician family with Sneha being a pediatrician and Manthan a surgeon. We are proud to bring high-quality preschool and childcare to young children and families in the Waxhaw community. Our journey to Primrose started in January 2022 when we were looking for a preschool for our son, Riaan. Like so many parents, we wanted the absolute best for him but were disappointed by the lack of high-quality early education options in our area. Then, we came across Primrose and the Balanced Learning® approach and everything changed for us. The brand’s passionate commitment to the belief that who children become is as important as what they know along with the caring environment that felt like home away from home checked all the boxes for us. It also sparked a dream in us – to bring that same incredible experience to other families in Waxhaw.
Sneha graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology with a concentration in neuroscience and a minor in health policy and administration and further went on to receive her Ph.D from Drexel University College of Medicine. Helping children thrive has always been Sneha’s passion, and she’s eager to combine her medical background with her love for early childhood development as the on-site owner. You’ll see her at the school daily, greeting families, managing the day-to-day operations and most importantly, sharing smiles and hugs as your children start their day. Manthan currently works with the Surgical Specialist of Charlotte as a general surgeon and is super excited to embark on this journey! We’re a family of four—our son, Riaan, is 3.5 years old, and our baby girl, Raya, is just 5 months. Life is busy, chaotic and full of joy, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! As a family, we love spending time outdoors, travelling and cheering for our favorite sports teams (sometimes a little too loudly!).
As parents, we know firsthand how important it is to find a place where your little ones will feel safe, loved and supported while learning and growing. At Primrose, learning is about more than academics; it’s about building character, confidence, creativity and compassion, which creates an environment where children can thrive in every way. From our family to yours, thank you for trusting us with the most valuable part of your lives—your precious little ones! We can’t wait to welcome you to our school and watch your little ones grow, learn and shine.
