Ms. Mathis
Hello! My name is Ms. Mathis! I am originally from a charming ski town in sunny Southern California, and I bring both warmth and experience to our school community. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my partner and our adventurous 14-year-old daughter. At home, I share life with four energetic dogs and find joy in all things water-related—from swimming to beach days.
With over 16 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I have taught across the country in California, Colorado, North Carolina, and Texas. My teaching journey began in Pre-Kindergarten, briefly expanding to toddler education, before transitioning into leadership roles. My passion for creating nurturing, supportive environments led me to pursue education administration, where I began as an Assistant Director.
I am deeply committed to the well-being and development of children, families, and educators. I have completed extensive coursework in Early Childhood Education, including child development theory, curriculum, and creative arts. My guiding belief is that every child deserves a loving and enriching place to learn and grow.
I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family!

Ms. Kurji
Hi there! My name is Ms. Kurji, and I’m the Director of Communications here at Primrose School of Stone Oak. I first joined Primrose Stone Oak nearly six years ago as a junior in college pursuing my degree in Communications—and now, as a proud graduate, I’m still here doing what I love!
What started as a part-time role quickly became a true passion. I fell in love with early childhood education and the magic of watching young minds grow. Primrose’s balanced learning approach and focus on nurturing the whole child is what continues to inspire me every day.
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of meeting so many wonderful families, working alongside the most dedicated staff, and learning from the amazing children who bring so much light into our school. This place truly feels like a second home.
In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, and exploring local events. I can’t wait to meet your family, welcome you to our school, and show you around our amazing community!

The students and their families are very involved and there’s a strong sense of community, making the teaching and learning process smooth, enjoyable, and fun.
