Our Early Preschool Classroom

Many 2-year-olds want to do everything by themselves. And why not? It’s their way of experimenting and learning to understand the world. Early Preschool teachers provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child can explore and stretch their talents to the fullest all while building self-confidence. Your child will have fun every day as they play and learn important academic skills, social skills and more.

Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Hello! My name is Ms. Sandbach! I am originally from Memphis, TN and moved to San Antonio many years ago. I have always loved caring for children starting with babysitting. I earned a BFA in Graphic Design and Information and worked at National Geographic’s primary school publishing area. In my free time I love gardening, DIY projects, auto mechanics, camping, and hiking. What I love most about Primrose is being able to help your child through their most important years!

I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

Hello! My name is Ms. Opland. I’m from San Antonio, born and raised! I’ve always loved being around children, and I plan to further my education in childcare, studying child development and special education. Children’s early years are the most vital part of their life, and I find it very rewarding to be a part of their growth. In my free time, I like to spend time with loved ones, go to the lake with my friends, cook, and hike. I am so excited to get to know all the staff and students!

I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

Lead Teacher

Hello! My name is Ms. Mac! I spent most of my childhood moving from place to place, as both of my parents served in the Air Force. In 2001, I moved to San Antonio to attend UTSA, where I earned my degree in Physical Education in 2007. A few years later, in 2009, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller and proudly served for five years.

After returning to San Antonio, I taught P.E. for three years before relocating to Alabama in 2020. While there, I earned my Master’s Degree in Physical Education and spent four wonderful years teaching preschool. These experiences strengthened my passion for education and working with children. I recently moved back to San Antonio to begin my journey with Primrose, and I am truly excited to watch my students grow, learn, and thrive throughout the school year!

I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

Our family would love to meet yours.
