Piyoosh and Neha Jalan
Meet Piyoosh and Neha Jalan, proud multi-unit Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Silicon Forest, Primrose School of Livermore, and Primrose School of San Ramon.
Our Story
Neha and Piyoosh recognized the need for high-quality early education when they had their first daughter, Ishita, in 2008. “When we had Ishita, we couldn’t find a facility that combined a nurturing, loving environment with the balanced learning we wanted for our daughter,” says Neha.
With her background in early education, Neha took matters into her own hands and left her teaching career to start a home-based childcare service for Bay Area families in 2008. By 2011, with the birth of their son Samar on the horizon, the Jalans decided to take their passion for early education even further. After extensive research, they visited a Primrose School in Houston and were immediately impressed by its curriculum, infrastructure, philosophy, and culture. “We knew right away that we wanted to be part of the Primrose family,” says Piyoosh.
A Commitment to Excellence
Originally from opposite sides of India, both Neha and Piyoosh have always had a passion for learning and education. Piyoosh came to the United States to attend Cornell University, where he earned a master’s degree in Computer Science before beginning his career in Silicon Valley at companies like IBM, Yahoo!, and Microsoft. Meanwhile, Neha pursued her degree in Information Technology at Manipal University in Hyderabad, India. Despite her background in technology, teaching has always been her passion, and she achieved great success in early childhood education, earning the Teacher of the Year award in 2004.
“As a mother of two wonderful children, I understand how difficult it is to place your child in someone else’s care,” says Neha. “Primrose School of Silicon Forest will always strive to be a home away from home. We are committed to partnering with parents to provide children with the same passion, care, and love they receive at home.”

Ms. LuAnn Watts
Hello everyone, my name is LuAnn Watts. I have been working in the Early Childhood Education profession for 29 years. Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to be a teacher. I love the sense of community a school can create, the relationships between the families and educators, and the foundations we create for children’s early learning.
I started out as a teacher, working with infants to grade school aged children. I love all age groups, there is something special about the development and discoveries in each age group that is exciting to me. My priority is to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for children to learn and grow.
I have six nieces and nephews who are my whole world. I have been a big part of their lives in one way or another. Besides spending time with my nieces and nephews, I enjoy photography, traveling, on and off Broadway shows, reading, and the coast. I also enjoy supporting the community. Primrose has given me more opportunities to do this with our giving projects and Adopt-a-grandparent. It is important for me to support our community whether it be for people in need or providing a service.

Ms. Adriene White
Hello everyone, my name is Adriene White. I joined the Primrose team in August 2025 and am honored to serve as the Director of Admissions, supporting our San Ramon, Livermore, and Silicon Forest schools. In this role, I have the privilege of guiding families through every step of the admissions process—from initial inquiry to enrollment—while serving as a trusted resource to answer questions and provide support along the way.
With over 24 years of experience in early childhood education, I have held a variety of leadership roles with a focus on admissions, enrollment strategy, and school operations. These experiences have allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how to create welcoming, organized, and family-centered enrollment experiences.
I am deeply passionate about education and service, and I am committed to building strong, connected learning communities where children and families feel supported, valued, and confident in their educational journey. It is truly rewarding to partner with families as they take this important step in their child’s growth and development. I look forward to connecting with you and sharing what makes Primrose such a special place—not only for your child’s growth and development, but for your entire family. We are truly fortunate to have such a warm and supportive community of families here at Primrose.

Ms. Mikelle VanBuskirk
Hello everyone! My name is Mikelle VanBuskirk, and I manage the marketing efforts for Primrose Schools of San Ramon, Livermore, and Silicon Forest. I truly enjoy collaborating with each school’s leadership team and finding creative, meaningful ways to introduce families to Primrose. I’m passionate about event planning and love bringing our school community together through fun and engaging events.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Management from California State University, East Bay in 2021, and I bring over four years of administrative experience within the childcare field. My background has allowed me to support a wide variety of teams, and I am excited to be in a role that keeps family connection and community engagement at the heart of everything I do.
I’ve lived in the East Bay Area my entire life. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, bicycling, traveling to new places, and spending time with friends and family.
I am truly grateful to be part of the Primrose team and look forward to connecting with families while supporting our teams to ensure we continue providing the very best care and experiences for our students.

Ms. Elizabeth Esqueda
Hello everyone, my name is Elizabeth Esqueda. I’m truly happy to be joining the Primrose team and to be part of an organization that genuinely values children, families, and the people who support them.
I bring over a decade of professional experience in early childhood and youth development, primarily in San Francisco, where I worked closely with community-based and mission-driven organizations serving diverse families. While completing my bachelor’s degree in Health Equity at Mills College, I developed a strong understanding of wellness, prevention, and the importance of building systems that support people in meaningful and lasting ways.As my career evolved, my work naturally expanded into financial and operational roles, where I found a passion for bringing clarity, structure, and accuracy to complex processes. I bring hands-on experience in financial operations, with a disciplined, systems-oriented approach to accounting and operational support, and I take pride in creating workflows that are reliable, compliant, and supportive of both leadership and staff.
What brings everything full circle for me is returning to the childcare industry, where I can combine my background in child development with my dedication to financial operations. At Primrose, I’ll be working closely with the leadership teams in Livermore, San Ramon, and Silicon Forest as a Finance/HR Coordinator, supporting financial consistency, billing accuracy, and strong systems across our schools.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my children (who have plenty of energy) whether that’s visiting parks, sharing a home-cooked meal, reading together, or simply enjoying a movie night.
I’m genuinely excited to meet everyone, build relationships, and contribute in a way that supports both our teams and the families we serve.
