Hello! My name is Ms. Shannon Meyer, and I’m excited to be part of the leadership team here at Primrose. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, with an emphasis in Child Development. I have been working with children for over seven years and have had the privilege of working with a wide age range—from infants to pre-kindergarten. In addition to my classroom experience, I currently hold a Developmental Therapist Credential and work in the Early Intervention field, supporting children from birth to age three. I am excited to join the leadership team as the assistant director and get to learn more about your family. One of my favorite aspects of Primrose is our Balanced Learning® curriculum. I love how it combines purposeful play with nurturing teacher guidance to support well-rounded development in young learners. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring new restaurants with friends. As the Enrollment Director for the Primrose Schools of Plainfield and Bolingbrook, I bring over ten years of experience in early childhood education, including three years serving as a Director at an early childhood learning facility. My career has been centered around building strong relationships with families and helping them navigate the important decision of choosing the right educational environment for their children.

I hold an Associate of Arts degree from Moraine Valley Community College and have always been passionate about creating welcoming, supportive experiences for families. I’m  Ms. Perry.  I graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s Degree in education. This is my sixth-Year teaching. I previously taught second and third grade in Elgin. I live in Yorkville with my husband and 2 kids. Our Daughter is two years old and our son is 7 months old. We love spending time at the Library and outside at the park. I am so excited to get to know more about you and your family this school year. I like working at Primrose because I get to help children learn, grow, and discover new things. My name is Jocelyn Manzano.  I am currently enrolled in Joliet Junior College to get my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have been working in the field of Early Childhood for over 3 years. I absolutely love getting to know all of the children and their amazing personalities in my classroom. This school year is going to be so amazing and I can’t wait to meet all of you and have an amazing school year. Primrose is an excellent place to enroll from our infants to Kindergarten. The improvement they make throughout the school year is amazing to see. As a teacher it is very rewarding to know that you are teaching them correctly. I love Primrose.

I am currently in school working on getting my Bachelors degree in Pre-Med biology, in hopes to become and OBGYN. I love to help children learn and watching them grow. In my free time I love spending time with my friends/family and relaxing. I am so happy to be part of the Primrose family.

In My Personal Time, I Like To: Hangout with friends and family.

I am Ms. Vijaya and I am passionate about children. I am blessed with a loving family – a husband, a son and a daughter. I was born and brought up in India and I moved the United States after getting married. I have worked in retail industry and ran an in-home day care. I decided to come work for Primrose so I can fulfill my desire to be with children and impact their life positively.

While I am not working, I currently a, a full-time student earning my Bachelors degree in psychology with a concentration in child development at Southern New Hampshire University. I plan to pursue further into my education and try and achieve my Masters degree in Social Work to work with children long-term. I have a huge passion for early childhood education and mental health and I am dedicated to helping children grow socially, emotionally and academically in a nurturing and supportive environment. I am happily married and while this is my first teaching position, I am a mother of 2 beautiful daughters and have 10 plus years experience with children.
