Our Toddler Classroom

An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful play helps toddlers develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. We know 1-year-olds are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through play at every turn. Primrose teachers use that energy and enthusiasm to foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills through engaging games and activities.

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

I’m Ms. Christina Foley. I am currently working towards getting my degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of DuPage.  I’ve been teaching for 9 years ranging from infants through 12 year old children. But I have to say that my favorite is working with Infants and Toddlers. I have a little boy that was born in December 2022 named Demetrius and he’s the sweetest little thing. I also have a fiancé named Alex that I adore. I love being a mother and teacher to these sweet children. I look forward to getting to know you and your family and helping your child grow and thrive at Primrose School of Plainfield.

Hello! I am a proud parent of four children and have one cat. Before moving here in 2024, I lived in New York. I am fluent in both Russian and English. I have over six years of experience working with elderly adults and have also gained valuable experience caring for my own children as a stay-at-home mother. I hold a High School Diploma and have a strong passion for working with young children—helping them learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential. My favorite part about working at Primrose is the classroom set up and the curriculum.

I have worked in various childcare roles throughout my career, including positions as a camp counselor, after-school program teacher, and most recently, as an educator and youth development leader in the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador. During my time abroad, I taught English and led community-based initiatives focused on youth empowerment and cross-cultural learning. My educational background is in International Relations, with a concentration in Community Development. I have a deep passion for working with children of all ages and find great joy in watching them explore and discover the world around them. I am particularly drawn to Primrose because of its commitment to exposing children to diverse cultures, experiences, and stories—values that align closely with my own dedication to fostering global awareness and curiosity in young learners.
