Dr. Shannon Reeves

Director of Operations

Dr. Shannon Reeves began her journey with Primrose in 2015, bringing with her a wealth of experience in education and a passion for leadership. She began as the Curriculum Director at Primrose School of Symmes, later serving as School Director before stepping into her current role as Area Director, where she now supports both the Symmes campus and the upcoming Ivy Pointe location.

Shannon holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University, where her dissertation focused on crisis leadership—an area she explored while guiding a school community through the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to joining Primrose, Shannon spent a decade teaching freshman English in a diverse public-school setting. Though she loved the classroom, her true calling lies in educational leadership and cultivating positive school culture.

As both a leader and a parent — her daughter, Hannah, is a proud Primrose graduate — Shannon has seen firsthand the lifelong impact of a high-quality early childhood education. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, attending live music events, and spending meaningful time with family and friends. Shannon is honored to support the growth of students, teachers, and families during these formative years.

Jill Bockerstette began her journey with Primrose Schools at the Johns Creek location in Georgia before returning home to Ohio in 2008. That October, she joined the Primrose School of Mason and has since grown into a key leadership role supporting both the Mason and South Lebanon campuses as Area Director.

With a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and extensive experience in early childhood education, Jill is passionate about creating high-quality environments where children, staff, and families can thrive. She is known for her supportive leadership style and dedication to fostering a culture of care, trust, and excellence.

Jill is a proud mother of two sons. Her oldest, Kyle, recently got married and is expecting his first child, while her youngest, Tyler, is flourishing in his career with MI Homes. Outside of work, Jill enjoys spending her weekends outdoors, exploring with her camper and boat, and making lasting memories with family and friends.

Her favorite Primrose puppet is Erwin the Dog, and her love for the work stems from seeing children grow and flourish each day. For Jill, Primrose is more than just a workplace-it’s a true community where people genuinely care for one another and where learning and joy go hand in hand.

Jennifer has been a valued member of the Primrose team since 2006, bringing nearly two decades of experience and dedication to her role as Education & Vendor Liaison. With a background in early childhood education, including a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and some college coursework, she is deeply committed to supporting both the educational environment and the operational excellence of our Primrose locations.

Jennifer is passionate about creating warm, welcoming spaces for children, families, and staff alike. Her favorite part of the day is the joy and laughter that children bring into each classroom. She also thrives on the collaboration and camaraderie that define the Primrose community, which she proudly describes as a second family.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She loves unwinding with a great movie or TV show and finds inspiration in the color green, which brings her a sense of calm and creativity.

Jennifer’s kind spirit, supportive nature, and longstanding commitment make her an essential part of the Primrose family and a true advocate for children’s growth and development.

Director of Health, Safety, and Staff Onboarding

Courtney Cowan has been a dedicated member of the Primrose Schools team since 2011. In her role as Executive Director of Health & Safety and New Onboarding & Training, she brings a passion for supporting staff development, fostering safe learning environments, and building strong, connected school communities.

Originally from Columbia, Missouri, Courtney grew up in a football family—her father and grandfather both coached in the NFL, and her grandfather also played professionally. Though football was a major part of her upbringing, Courtney found her own passion in basketball. Her journey has taken her from Miami to Seattle to Pittsburgh, and now to Mason, Ohio, where she plays a vital leadership role within the Primrose network.

Courtney is a proud graduate of Mason High School and earned her degree from the University of Missouri. Outside of work, she enjoys singing, spending time with her family, and recharging at the beach—her favorite place to relax and reflect.

Courtney’s favorite Primrose puppet is Erwin the Dog, and her work is guided by a deep belief in the power of connection, kindness, and positivity. She is committed to creating meaningful experiences for both staff and students and finds true joy in watching others grow and thrive.

Sally has been a valued member of the Primrose family since 2015, bringing with her a deep love for children and a strong foundation in education and administration. A proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati, she blends knowledge, warmth, and professionalism in her role supporting both Finance and Human Resources.

Known for her calm presence and thoughtful approach, Sally is passionate about creating a nurturing, supportive environment for both staff and families. Whether assisting a team member, comforting a child, or contributing to the smooth operation of the school, she leads with heart and dedication.

She believes every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and inspired — and she’s honored to be part of their journey. What Sally loves most about Primrose is being part of a community that truly values growth, connection, and the well-being of every child and team member.

Vannessa joined the Primrose Executive Board in August 2024, bringing with her a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis in Child Welfare and a strong passion for supporting families and early educators. As a proud mother of three, she has personally experienced the impact of Primrose Schools—her youngest child recently completed a year at the Primrose School of Symmes, growing in confidence and independence. Originally from Utah, her family spent several years traveling across the country during her husband’s travel nursing career before settling in Cincinnati. Though they miss the mountains, they continue to explore the outdoors through travel and have just ten states left to complete their family’s 50-state bucket list.

With a heart for service and a background in child and family welfare, she is passionate about creating a culture where educators feel empowered, supported, and valued. She believes that the people are what make Primrose special and is proud to help foster an environment where children, families, and staff can thrive.

Her favorite Primrose puppet is Percy the Rooster, who represents courage—an attribute she strives to encourage in both children and team members every day.

Patti Eads has been part of the Primrose family since 2016, starting her journey shortly after high school and quickly discovering her true calling in early childhood education. With nearly a decade of experience, Patti brings leadership, heart, and a deep understanding of what it means to create a nurturing and structured environment where children and teachers alike can thrive.

As a proud mother of four — plus one amazing bonus daughter — Patti lives and breathes the family-first values she upholds at Primrose. Whether she’s cheering at sporting events, enjoying time outdoors, or spending the day at Kings Island, her life is filled with laughter, love, and meaningful connection.

Her favorite puppet is Percy the Rooster, and what she loves most about Primrose is the teamwork and shared passion that fuel every day. Patti has seen firsthand — through her own children’s experiences — the difference a safe, loving, and high-quality environment can make. Jaidyn Coleman began her journey with Primrose in 2019 and has grown into her leadership role as Assistant Director through dedication, heart, and a deep passion for early childhood education. Known for creating fun, safe, and nurturing spaces for children to thrive, Jaidyn is committed to supporting both teachers and students with care and purpose.

As a proud mom to her daughter Emari, Jaidyn draws daily inspiration from her own parenting experience. She brings empathy, insight, and joy to her work, knowing firsthand how important a loving learning environment is during the early years.

Her favorite puppet is Molly the Cow, and what she loves most about Primrose is the opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives. For Jaidyn, Primrose isn’t just a workplace — it’s a second family where she feels supported, appreciated, and truly at home.

Kristen Timpe has been dedicated to nurturing children for over 30 years, with experience spanning from center-based childcare to private nannying — and now, to her beloved role as Chef at Primrose. Since joining the team in 2017, she has used her creativity and care to make mealtime a joyful part of each child’s day.

Throughout her career, Kristen has formed lasting bonds with the children and families she’s served — many of whom still stay in touch to this day. It’s that ongoing connection and impact that she finds most rewarding. Outside of school, Kristen and her fiancé are passionate baseball fans who enjoy cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Dayton Dragons, often traveling to new cities to catch a game together.

What she loves most about Primrose is its commitment to meaningful causes, like fundraising for childhood cancer — a mission close to her heart. For Kristen, it’s a true privilege to bring smiles through every meal and help make each day a little brighter for every child.

Gwen Williams has a heart for nurturing and a gift for helping the littlest learners feel loved and supported. Her gentle approach and calm presence create a peaceful environment in the Infant classroom, where each milestone is celebrated.

Outside of work, Gwen finds joy in watching the children grow and blossom, like little flowers blooming right before her eyes. Every small success fills her with pride and reminds her why she loves this work.

Her favorite puppet is Billy the Duck, and she finds inspiration in the progress each child makes. For Gwen, the children are the heartbeat of Primrose — and the reason she comes to work with a smile every day.

Kaylah Marshall joined Primrose in 2024 and quickly became known for her cheerful spirit and compassionate heart. With a natural ability to connect with children and make others feel welcome, Kaylah brings positivity and laughter to every interaction.

She describes herself as fun and loving — and those around her would agree! Her goal each day is simple: to make others smile and feel cared for.

Her favorite puppet is Peanut the Pony, and she treasures the friendships she’s built with both families and staff. For Kaylah, Primrose feels like a second family — one filled with love, laughter, and purpose.

Nicole Richmond joined the Primrose family in 2024 and brings a unique perspective as both an educator and a parent. A certified dental assistant by training, Nicole discovered her love for childcare after becoming a mom and finds joy in supporting toddlers through their exciting, ever-changing developmental stages.

Nicole is the proud mom of a spirited daughter and two lovable dogs. She’s currently considering a career shift into radiology technology — proving that growth and curiosity don’t end in childhood! Her humor and authenticity shine through in everything she does.

Her favorite puppet is Molly the Cow, and she values the well-balanced curriculum and nurturing environment Primrose offers. Nicole loves watching toddlers grow into their personalities and being a part of the joyful chaos of discovery.

Gina joined the Primrose family bringing a strong background in athletics, coaching, and education. A former NCAA Division II All-American volleyball player at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Gina discovered her passion for teaching through sports, where she learned the value of connection, communication, and growth.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages from Edinboro in 2011 and has since built experience as a substitute teacher (PK–12), collegiate coach at Muskingum, and club director and head coach for local volleyball programs. Gina has always had a natural ability to relate to children and finds so much joy in helping them learn and grow.

Gina is a proud mom of three awesome kids who are her favorite people in the world. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys painting rocks with her children, playing volleyball, and attending Cincinnati sporting events. Her favorite children’s book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and she loves bringing fun, silliness, and energy into her work each day.

She appreciates the supportive environment at Primrose and loves being part of each child’s journey as they grow, learn, and discover who they are.

Sanchali joined the Primrose family bringing a warm, nurturing perspective shaped by her upbringing in a large joint family in India. Growing up surrounded by siblings, cousins, and nieces, she naturally developed a deep love for children and enjoys watching them grow into their own unique individuals.

She holds a Master’s degree in Material Science and Engineering and brings a thoughtful and patient approach to the classroom. With experience in childcare, Sanchali loves engaging with children through play and appreciates the individuality each child brings.

In her free time, Sanchali enjoys gardening, feeding birds, and taking peaceful nature walks. She also loves painting, reading storybooks, and capturing moments through nature photography. Her favorite children’s book is Llama Llama Red Pajama, and she celebrates cultural traditions such as Durga Puja and Diwali at home.

She values the joy and curiosity children bring each day and loves being part of their early learning journey.

Brooke Staley joined Primrose in 2025, bringing with her a lifelong passion for caring for children and a nurturing spirit that shines in the Toddler classroom. As the oldest of nine siblings, Brooke has been surrounded by little ones her entire life — making early childhood education a natural and meaningful path.

Outside of work, Brooke is an avid reader who typically finishes two to three books a week. She also enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors with her family. Her deep love for animals and nature helps her bring calm, joy, and curiosity into her teaching.

Her favorite puppet is Og the Bookworm, and what she loves most about Primrose is playing such an important role in a child’s development. For Brooke, the best part of every day is seeing the children’s bright smiles and celebrating the milestones they achieve along the way.

Pat Collins has been a cherished part of the Primrose family since 2005. With a wealth of experience and a heart for young children, Pat has spent years guiding Early Preschool students through key moments of growth and discovery.

Outside the classroom, Pat enjoys spending time with her family — especially during Friday night card games, a tradition filled with laughter and connection. As a mother and grandmother, she brings deep understanding, patience, and joy to her role.

Her favorite puppet is Libby the Lamb, and she treasures the opportunity to teach music, create art, and build relationships with the children and their families. For Pat, Primrose is not just a workplace — it’s home.

Robin Caldwell has been a dedicated educator for over 35 years, working with children between the ages of 2 and 6. Since joining Primrose in 2005, she has shared her wealth of knowledge, gentle approach, and passion for teaching with countless young learners and their families.

A lifelong local, Robin comes from a family of five sisters and shares a home with one of them. She’s a proud aunt to six and is soon to become a great-aunt — a title she’s very excited to hold! Robin is also deeply involved in her church, where she teaches, supports the nursery, and serves on the prayer team.

Her favorite puppet is Ally the Bunny, and she appreciates the thoughtful benefits and supportive culture that Primrose offers its staff. Robin finds true joy in watching children thrive and building lasting friendships with her fellow teachers.

With four years of childcare experience, Haley Pfeiffer joined Primrose in 2024 and has quickly become a nurturing and encouraging presence in the Toddler classroom. As the oldest of three siblings, Haley has always felt called to work with children and finds joy in helping little ones explore their world.

Outside of school, Haley loves receiving sweet compliments from families and watching the children she teaches light up with excitement and pride. Her dedication and gentle nature help each child feel supported and celebrated.

Ms. Mayci joined Primrose after spending over a year working with children and discovering her passion for early learning. She is excited to support children as they grow and develop and is dedicated to creating a classroom environment where every child feels safe, comfortable, and confident each day.

One of Ms. Mayci’s favorite things about working with children is seeing their excitement as they reach new milestones. Her favorite children’s book to share is The Pigeon Finds the Dog, and her favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas. She enjoys celebrating family traditions such as holiday dinners.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Mayci enjoys going to the gym, shopping, trying new foods, watching sports, and spending time with family. At home, she has a dog named Scout and a bearded dragon named Odessa. She looks forward to building strong relationships with her students and supporting their learning journey every day.

Autumn Price began her Primrose journey in 2019, after transitioning from the salon world to the classroom — and she hasn’t looked back since. With a heart for young children and a warm, approachable style, Autumn creates a supportive environment where preschoolers feel confident, curious, and cared for.

In 2024, she and her husband welcomed their first child, a sweet baby boy named Cohen. Becoming a mom has only deepened her love for early childhood education and her appreciation for the family-first culture at Primrose.

Outside of school, Gillian enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and exploring the outdoors. She’s passionate about creating a classroom that encourages curiosity and growth, and she finds true fulfillment in watching her students master new skills with joy and confidence.

Estelle joined the Primrose family with a love for supporting children as they grow and build meaningful connections with others. She has always been drawn to working with children and enjoys watching the friendships they form and the joy they bring to one another each day.

She attended the University of Cincinnati, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree, and has been caring for children since high school through babysitting and helping with younger relatives. These experiences helped shape her passion for guiding children as they grow into their fullest potential.

Outside of the classroom, Estelle enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, and playing games. She is an avid gamer and loves finding new ways to have fun and unwind. She speaks both English and Twi at home and has a cat named Willow. Her favorite children’s book is A Bad Case of Stripes, and she loves celebrating traditions like Takeout Sunday with her family.

She enjoys being part of each child’s journey and looks forward to helping them learn, grow, and build lasting friendships.

Becky Benson has been with Primrose since 1999, and her dedication to early childhood education spans more than two decades. With a degree from Miami University and a deep love for teaching, Becky brings experience, consistency, and warmth to the Pre-Kindergarten classroom every day.

She has been married to her husband, Jim, for 30 years, and together they’ve raised three wonderful daughters. Their family recently welcomed a son-in-law and shares their home with two Boston Terriers and a cat. Becky is also an avid fan of FC Cincinnati, the Bengals, and the Reds — and she loves taking motorcycle rides with her husband on sunny weekends.

Her favorite puppet is Katie the Cat, and what she values most about Primrose is the strong leadership and supportive families. For Becky, the best part of her work is witnessing those “light bulb” moments when a child understands something for the first time — moments that make every day worth it.

Veena Papannagari joined Primrose in 2023 and brings a unique blend of academic excellence and heartfelt dedication to her Pre-K classroom. Originally from India, Veena holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and takes great pride in fostering a structured, engaging environment where young learners thrive.

Veena is married to her husband, Srinivas, who works in IT, and together they have two wonderful children — a 9-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son. When she’s not in the classroom, Veena enjoys playing indoor games and spending time with friends, always making space for connection and fun.

Her favorite Primrose puppet is Molly the Cow, and she values the school’s emphasis on structure, community, and meaningful social interaction. For Veena, teaching is more than a career — it’s an opportunity to shape young minds and be a part of something truly impactful.

Ms. Shorter is originally from Indianapolis and recently relocated to Ohio. She brings curiosity, wonder, and creativity into the classroom each day and has seven years of experience in early childhood education. Ms. Shorter studied Early Childhood Education at Vincennes University and has taught children from toddlers through Kindergarten.

She began her career with Primrose in 2018 and is excited to be back doing what she loves—helping little learners grow, explore, and thrive. Her favorite part of working with children is their curiosity and sense of humor, and she enjoys sharing favorite stories like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom with her students.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Shorter enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, and watching romantic comedies. Christmas is her favorite holiday, and she looks forward to her family’s summer reunions each year. At home, she has three cats—Scarlette, Luna, and LJ.

Shalini Godishala became a part of the Primrose family in 2024, bringing her analytical mind and nurturing heart to the Pre-Kindergarten classroom. With a background in engineering and a strong passion for education, Shalini blends structure with creativity to help children grow academically and socially.

She is a proud mother of two — a high school junior and a fourth grader — and loves spending quality time with her daughter. Photography is one of her favorite hobbies, and she enjoys capturing everyday moments with joy and intention.

Her favorite puppets are Percy the Rooster and Mia the Mouse, and she’s grateful for the supportive leadership and strong teamwork that make Primrose a positive place to teach and learn.

Ms. Blackstone has been a valued member of the Primrose family since 2004 and brings over two decades of experience to the classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University. As a kindergarten teacher, Ms. Blackstone is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to grow.

She believes in fostering a love of learning through play, exploration, and self-discovery, while supporting children’s academic, emotional, and social development. Witnessing children’s curiosity and growth in real time is what she loves most about teaching. One of her favorite books to share with students is Wemberly Worried.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Blackstone enjoys camping and spending time at her family’s cabin in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July are her favorite holidays. At home, she has two dachshunds, Home and Tucker.

Julie Eckert joined Primrose in 2014 and has become a key part of the Explorers team and leadership culture. With an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and over a decade of experience, Julie brings creativity, structure, and lots of heart to everything she does.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys cheering on her nieces and nephew at sporting events, baking sweet treats, and spending time with family and friends. Her nurturing spirit and love for fun activities make her classroom a place kids truly enjoy.

Ashlyn Braga joined Primrose in 2025 and brings with her a bright enthusiasm for both science and early childhood development. Currently studying General Biology, Ashlyn hopes to pursue a career in embryology, a goal inspired by her fascination with growth and learning at every stage.

When she’s not studying or working, Ashlyn enjoys rock climbing and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds during baseball season. Her curious and adventurous spirit helps fuel dynamic, engaging interactions with the children she supports.

Ms. Tiffany is a wonderful part of our team, supporting classrooms throughout the school and helping create a positive, nurturing environment for all of our children. She is passionate about helping children grow, learn, and build confidence, and loves being a part of their everyday experiences.

She brings patience, care, and consistency into each classroom she supports, always focused on making sure every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged. One of her favorite parts of working with children is watching their personalities shine and seeing those special “lightbulb moments” when something new clicks.

Ms. Tiffany is currently pursuing a degree in Forensic Science at the University of Cincinnati and continues to bring that same dedication and drive into her work each day.

Outside of school, she enjoys painting, spending time with her family, and focusing on her personal and professional goals. She also celebrates traditions like Christmas and Dia de los Reyes, and values time spent together with loved ones.

Ms. Jerra is a valued member of our team who brings such a caring and positive energy into the building each day. She recently graduated and is excited to begin her journey in early childhood education. While she is new to childcare, she brings years of babysitting experience and a genuine love for working with children.

Ms. Jerra enjoys building meaningful connections with her students and loves seeing their eyes light up as they learn and grow. She believes every child is unique and is passionate about making a difference in their lives from an early age.

Her favorite children’s book is Rainbow Fish, and she especially enjoys celebrating holidays like Christmas and Juneteenth with her family. Outside of school, she loves spending time with family, watching movies, reading, and traveling.

Ms. Jerra is looking forward to getting to know each child and family and becoming a supportive part of your child’s journey.

Ms. Liv Dodson

Liv joined the Primrose family in 2026 and brings a genuine passion for early childhood education and building meaningful connections with children. A graduate of Milford High School, she also completed the Great Oaks TPA program and is currently continuing her education by working toward her degree in Early Childhood Education.

With about two years of childcare experience, Liv has always known she wanted to be a teacher. She loves forming strong bonds with each child and finds so much joy in watching them grow, both academically and personally, while developing a true excitement for learning.

Outside of the classroom, Liv enjoys spending time with her loved ones, reading a good book, traveling, and singing. She has one dog named Remington, or Remi, and her favorite children’s book is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. One of her favorite family traditions is their annual beach vacation in June.

She loves being part of each child’s journey and is excited to help them learn, grow, and thrive each day.

Ms. Izzy Simpson

Izzy joined the Primrose family with a passion for supporting children as they grow into their own unique selves. She loves getting to know each child individually and finds so much joy in watching their personalities develop while creating a classroom environment where they feel confident, happy, and excited to learn.

She graduated in 2024 from Norwich University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and brings experience working in a public afterschool program as well as a summer camp counselor. Izzy’s background helps her connect with children in a thoughtful and supportive way as they learn and grow.

Outside of the classroom, Izzy enjoys playing video games like Stardew Valley, trying new restaurants, and collecting Pokémon cards and figures. She celebrates Vietnamese Lunar New Year with her family and speaks both Vietnamese and English at home. She also has an orange cat named Mango. Her favorite children’s book is The Night Before Christmas, and one of her favorite family traditions is searching for hidden presents around the house on Christmas morning.

She loves being part of each child’s journey and looks forward to helping them learn, grow, and thrive every day.
