Miss Amanda
Meet Miss Amanda, a valued member of the Primrose Schools of Berkeley Heights and New Providence team.
With over 17 years of experience in early childhood education, Miss Amanda brings both expertise and passion to her role as Area Manager. Her journey began as an Infant and Toddler Teacher, where she discovered her love for nurturing young minds. She has since grown into leadership roles, serving as Center Director at the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights before stepping into her current position. Having been part of the Primrose community prior to the Berkeley Heights school’s opening in 2014, Miss Amanda has played a key role in shaping its strong educational foundation. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, equipping her with the knowledge to support children, families, and staff in meaningful ways.
Miss Amanda is excited to welcome and connect with families across both schools. With her dedication, warmth, and leadership, she is committed to ensuring every child receives the highest quality care and education, empowering them for lifelong success.

Miss Kristie
Meet Miss Kristie, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
Miss Kristie brings over a decade of educational leadership experience and holds a master’s degree in Social and Community Psychology with a specialty in guidance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She previously served as Director at a nonprofit organization, overseeing multiple preschools and enrichment programs, and has additional experience as a substitute teacher and one-on-one paraprofessional.
A devoted mother of six, Miss Kristie combines her professional expertise with personal insight into child development. Since being promoted to Head of School, she leads with vision, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the growth and success of every child at Primrose School of Berkeley Heights. Her passion for education and positive impact on children and families shines through in everything she does.

Miss Riley
Meet Miss Riley, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
Miss Riley holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Early and Special Education. She brings a wealth of experience to her role, having worked for five years as an ABA Therapist supporting children with developmental needs, as well as gaining additional hands-on experience as a nanny.
Beyond her professional work, Miss Riley finds joy in her personal life, sharing her home with her beloved pitbull, Luna, and cherishing time with family and friends. Her love for staying active and exploring new experiences—whether at the gym, shopping, or enjoying adventures with loved ones—brings energy and enthusiasm to all that she does at Primrose. Her favorite children’s book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, along with her connection to Percy, one of our Primrose puppets who represents courage, reflect the values she resonates with in both her personal life and professional approach. Her name, meaning “courageous fighter” in Gaelic, mirrors the resilience and determination she brings to supporting children, families, and staff throughout the school.
With her strong educational background, hands-on experience, and dedication to fostering every child’s development, Miss Riley is a wonderful asset to the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights community.

Miss Brittany
Meet Miss Brittany, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
With years of experience in childcare beginning at the age of 16, Miss Brittany brings both passion and dedication to the classroom. She finds the greatest joy in seeing children take what they’ve learned at school and proudly share it with their families at home—proof of the meaningful impact she makes each day.
Her favorite children’s book, The Little Engine That Could, reflects her belief in perseverance and the power of a positive mindset—values she instills in her students. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, and sharing her love of spaghetti.
Her enthusiasm for early education and commitment to building strong relationships with both children and families make Miss Brittany a wonderful asset to our Primrose community.

Miss Gladys

Miss Nicole
Meet Miss Nicole, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
With over seven years of experience in early childhood education, Miss Nicole brings both knowledge and passion to her role as a Pre-K Teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Kean University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Education, reflecting her commitment to continuous growth and excellence in teaching.
Miss Nicole finds joy in fostering creativity and a love of learning in her students. Her favorite children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, is a classroom favorite that sparks imagination and curiosity. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys watching movies and sharing her love of pizza with friends and family.
As a member of the Primrose family for over three years, Miss Nicole is excited to build meaningful connections with each child and their family, creating a positive and nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive.

Miss Nadazi
Meet Miss Nadazi, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
As a dedicated Preschool teacher, Miss Nadazi brings both energy and passion to the classroom. With two of teaching experience and a commitment to continuing her education, she is always striving to grow as an educator. What she loves most about working with children is the joy and excitement that each new day brings.
Her favorite children’s book, Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss, reflects her appreciation for curiosity, imagination, and trying new things—values she encourages in her students. Outside of school, she cherishes spending time with her family.

Miss Allison
Meet Miss Allison, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
With 8 years of experience in childcare and teaching, Miss Allison brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine love for hearing the stories and experiences of the children she works with. She finds great joy in supporting each child’s growth and helping them explore the world around them.
A graduate of SUNY Cobleskill College with a degree in Early Childhood Education, Miss Allison enjoys celebrating cultural traditions in her home, including Halloween and Australia Day. She loves traveling and creating memorable experiences with her family.
In her personal time, Miss Allison enjoys sewing clothing and costumes for herself and friends, bringing her creativity and passion into every project. Known for her imaginative and nurturing approach, she fosters a classroom environment where children feel encouraged, inspired, and supported every day.

Miss Renu
Meet Miss Renu, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
Miss Renu brings two years of experience in childcare and teaching, along with an impressive academic background holding a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s in Commerce. She has a natural talent for connecting with children through singing, dancing, and storytelling—making learning both engaging and joyful.
Her favorite children’s books include Pete the Cat and classics by Dr. Seuss, which reflect her love of fun, creativity, and imagination. Outside the classroom, Miss Renu enjoys preparing homemade sweets and snacks, a hobby that reflects her warmth and creativity.
Her passion for education and her ability to bring energy and joy to every interaction make Miss Renu a wonderful asset to our Primrose community.

Miss Luz
Meet Miss Luz, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
From an early age, Miss Luz dreamed of becoming a teacher, often playing “school” with her dolls—a dream she now fulfills with passion and dedication. With over 18 years of experience in childcare, Miss Luz is committed to supporting the growth and development of every child in her classroom. She is currently working toward earning her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, with the long-term goal of opening a daycare in Puerto Rico.
Her favorite children’s book, Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss, reminds her of the importance of persistence and the joy of discovering new possibilities—values she strives to instill in her students. In her free time, she enjoys visiting the beach, spending time in nature, and reading.
Miss Luz is excited to be part of the Primrose family and looks forward to building strong relationships with both her students and their families, creating a nurturing and inspiring learning environment.

Miss Ciara

With five years of experience in childcare and teaching, Miss Ciara brings both knowledge and passion for early childhood education to her role. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of her students each day.
Her favorite part of working with children is witnessing their learning journey and celebrating each milestone along the way. One of her favorite children’s books, Grumpy Monkey, is a classroom favorite that she enjoys sharing to inspire laughter, creativity, and meaningful conversations.
Outside of school, Miss Ciara enjoys singing, cooking, going on walks with her daughter, and spending time with family and friends. She also has a playful cat named Cyrus who adds extra joy to her home life.
Miss Ciara’s enthusiasm for education and her warm, nurturing approach make her a wonderful asset to the Primrose community.

Miss Tonya

With 17 years of experience working with children, Miss Tonya brings a wealth of knowledge, patience, and genuine care to her classroom. As a dedicated foster parent to seven children, she understands the importance of nurturing each child’s growth and creating a supportive, loving environment where every child can thrive.
At home, Miss Tonya shares her life with two beloved dogs and enjoys spending weekends relaxing with her family. She also loves shopping for her favorite items and cherishing special family moments. Known for her warm and caring nature, Miss Tonya fosters a classroom environment filled with kindness, curiosity, and encouragement, supporting each child on their unique learning journey.

Miss Jackie

With many years of experience in childcare and teaching, Miss Jackie brings warmth, dedication, and a genuine love for helping children learn and grow. She finds immeasurable joy in being part of each child’s journey and supporting their development every day.
A proud lover of family traditions, Miss Jackie cherishes family reunions and the time spent with loved ones. She also celebrates cultural traditions such as Christmas and Thanksgiving in her home. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she enjoys sharing her language and culture with the children in her classroom.
At home, Miss Jackie shares her life with a beloved dog and enjoys reading during her personal time. Known for her nurturing and caring nature, she is always ready to support both children and colleagues, fostering a classroom environment filled with kindness, curiosity, and encouragement.

Miss Wanda

With over 20 years of experience in childcare, Miss Wanda brings a wealth of knowledge, warmth, and dedication to her role. She finds immeasurable joy in being part of children’s lives and supporting their growth and development every day.
A proud mother of three and grandmother of seven, Miss Wanda values family deeply and cherishes the time she spends with her loved ones. She also takes great pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom, and enjoys helping create environments that are conducive to learning and exploration.
Outside of work, Miss Wanda loves traveling to new places and attending church. Known for her nurturing and caring nature, she is always ready to support both children and colleagues, fostering a culture of kindness and encouragement in everything she does.

Miss Amal
Meet Miss Amal, a valued member of the Primrose School of Berkeley Heights team.
As an Infant Teacher, Miss Amal brings warmth, patience, and a joyful spirit to her classroom. She loves making babies smile and laugh, creating a nurturing environment where each child feels safe, happy, and inspired to explore.
Fluent in both Arabic and English, Miss Amal enjoys sharing her language and culture with the children, enriching their learning experiences every day. At home, she loves cooking for her family and celebrating “Family Fridays,” cherishing time spent together. Known for her caring and cheerful nature, Miss Amal fosters a classroom filled with laughter, curiosity, and love.

Amina Gunaratne
Amina Gunaratne is a dedicated mom of two boys whose own challenges in finding reliable, high-quality child care inspired her to create a better option for families in her community. Driven by her personal experience, she transitioned into the child care industry to make a lasting difference for children and parents alike.
Along with her husband Ace, the Gunaratne’s own and operate multiple Primrose Schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Amina remains actively engaged in the daily operations of the schools. She believes in pouring into her teams and developing strong industry leaders to lead and operate schools around the country. She has served on the Primrose Schools National Advisory Council for the past two years, collaborating with fellow owners nationwide to addressing the various challenges and opportunities that fellow owners and leaders face in the childcare industry.
Known for her strong, meaningful, purposeful, and respectful approach to dialogue, Amina works tirelessly to drive common solutions for staff and school leaders as well as solutions that benefit the Primrose Schools system. She advocates tirelessly to meeting the needs of the individual families that entrust the care of young children to us. Her advocacy spans owners, staff, and families alike, and her leadership reflects an unwavering belief that quality early education is built on trust, accountability, and genuine partnership.
Amina remains committed to creating a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment where children can thrive and parents can feel confident in their choice of care.
