Our Preschool Pathways Classroom
Our Preschool Pathways program provides a “bridge” between our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms for children whose birthdays will ultimately miss the cutoff date for kindergarten entrance. By identifying those children early, we can help them stay with a consistent group of peers through preschool, pre-K and kindergarten.
Nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Edrece Wigfall
Hello I am Edrece,
I’m so happy to be here at Primrose of West Orange, I’m so excited to join the team as the Early Preschool teacher too! I’ve spent the past four years working with young children in Early Childhood Center settings, where I focused on creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. I also have experience as a senior day camp counselor, after-school counselor, and children’s party host, which helped me develop strong skills in classroom management, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive learning environment. I hold my CDA in Infants/Toddlers and Preschool and have received formal training in both the Reggio Emilia approach and the Creative Curriculum, which allow me to provide a child-centered, inquiry-based learning experience. I am currently pursuing a double major at Berkeley College in Criminal Justice and Early Childhood Education, which gives me a unique perspective on safety, classroom structure, and child development. I am passionate about helping children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning, and I strive to implement the Balanced Learning® approach every day to ensure each child’s growth and success.
