Ana Pila
Ana Pila is the dedicated and passionate Director of Primrose School of West Cinco Ranch. Originally from Brazil, she moved to Texas in 2017 with her husband and their two sons, bringing with her a strong foundation in business management, leadership, and organizational behavior.
Mrs. Pila began her career in early childhood education in 2021 as a toddler teacher, where her natural talent for connecting with young children quickly became evident. Her commitment to excellence and her strong leadership skills led to rapid advancement, including teaching opportunities in additional classrooms.
She later joined Primrose School of Woodcreek Reserve as an Office Assistant, and within just a few months, she earned her Director Certification—an achievement that reflects both her dedication and her drive for continuous growth.
Mrs. Pila’s educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child deserves a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. She is known for her warm, approachable demeanor and her ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff. Her leadership style emphasizes collaboration, positivity, and a deep commitment to high quality early education.
Her passion for supporting children and educators, combined with her focus on continuous improvement, makes her an invaluable asset to Primrose School of West Cinco Ranch.

Mrs. Debbie Gonzales
Debbie Gonzales has been a dedicated member of the Primrose family since 2009. Before joining Primrose School of West Cinco Ranch, she built a strong foundation in education and public service through 25 years with Katy Independent School District, three years as a volunteer preschool teacher at Lemuel Christian School, and three years with the United States Postal Service.
During her early years at Primrose, Mrs. Gonzales taught in both the Preschool and Kindergarten programs, where she developed a deep understanding of early childhood education and the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum. She later served as an Office Assistant at one of our sister schools, further expanding her leadership experience. In 2013, she advanced into the role of Assistant Director, supporting the operations of one of the area’s most successful Primrose schools.
A graduate of Lamar High School, Mrs. Gonzales continued her studies through the Education Program at Lone Star College and later earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in September 2021. She is highly knowledgeable in the Primrose curriculum and is passionate about mentoring teachers, fostering strong school-family partnerships, and ensuring a high quality learning environment for all children.
Mrs. Gonzales is known for her warmth, professionalism, and commitment to helping every child and staff member thrive.

Mrs. Alisha Valadez
Alisha Valadez serves as the Assistant Director of Primrose School of West Cinco Ranch. She began her Primrose journey in 2007 at Primrose School of Cinco Ranch, where she taught in the threeyearold classroom and quickly demonstrated a natural talent for early childhood education. Over the years, she expanded her leadership experience by serving as an Office Manager and later as an Assistant Director.
Before joining Primrose, Mrs. Valadez gained three years of experience in the childcare field, building a strong foundation in child development and classroom management. In 2014, she earned her Texas Director’s Certificate, further strengthening her expertise in school operations and early education leadership.
Mrs. Valadez is deeply committed to the Primrose vision of delivering the best and most trusted early childhood education and care for children and families. She is known for her warm leadership style, her dedication to supporting teachers, and her passion for creating a nurturing, high quality learning environment where every child can thrive.

Mrs. Anne Emery
Mrs. Emery holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Oregon State University. She has over 15 years of experience in this field, eight of them with Primrose. Mrs. Emery will oversee the implementation of daily operations and educational programming on the campus.

Mrs. Leslie Klipka
Leslie Klipka began her service with Primrose Schools as a Lead Teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom at Primrose School of West Cinco Ranch. Leslie now serves as the Education Director for Lou Ann and Michael McLaughlin’s six Primrose Schools. She has an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. As Education Director, Leslie is involved in all aspects of Primrose School early education from developing and supervising teaching staff training to assisting all management team members and teaching staff in classroom management. As such Leslie supports and supervises teacher curriculum and program delivery expectations, daily schedule implementation, as well as student behavior analysis and management. Leslie is also AdvancED (the schools Accreditation organization) trained and ELEOT certified. This designation allows her to assist all of our campuses during their accreditation and re-accreditation processes.

Her areas of study have focused on business management, leadership, and organizational behavior.
Ana’s career and passion for Early Childhood Education began in 2021 as a toddler teacher. She was quickly recognized and offered other teaching positions.
She began working at Primrose School of Woodcreek Reserve as an Office Assistant and in a few short months earned her Director Certification.
Ana’s philosophy centers around the belief that every child deserves a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
She is known for her warm and approachable demeanor, making her a beloved figure among students, parents, and staff alike.

Michael and Lou Ann McLaughlin
Michael and Lou Ann McLaughlin are seasoned Primrose School owners with degrees in Education, Business and Law from Baylor University. Lou Ann’s degree includes a specialization in early childhood education, and she has taught Kindergarten and all elementary school grades in both public and private schools in Texas. Lou Ann holds a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Houston. She is a Texas certified preschool director and trainer. Lou Ann has served on numerous SACS/CITA accreditation committees and on the Primrose Advisory Council. She is currently serving on the Texas AdvancEd Council representing early childhood interests. Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin are the proud recipients of the prestigious Primrose Schools President’s Award for outstanding achievement. They are active participants in the Houston Children’s Fund benefitting Houston’s most needy children. Michael and Lou Ann are the proud grandparents of five adorable grandchildren, two of them are Primrose students!
