Kelly and Alan Arbabi
Hello! We are Kelly and Alan Arbabi, and it’s our privilege to serve the children and families of Plano and the surrounding areas. We’re proud to be the owners of Primrose School of East Allen and Primrose School of Plano at Deerfield!
Nearly 25 years ago, we were parents just like you – searching for a safe, nurturing place where our children could thrive. That experience inspired our journey with Primrose and shaped our passion for early childhood education. As lifelong educators, we’re deeply committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, loved, and ready to learn. We believe high-quality early education is the foundation for lifelong success, and we’re proud to support your family every step of the way.
At Primrose, we go beyond academics, empowering teachers, building strong family partnerships, and helping students grow into confident, kind, and curious individuals. We’d love to show you what makes our schools special, come visit and see the difference for yourself!
About Alan and Kelly:
With over 15 years at Primrose and a 25-year career in public education, Alan brings exceptional leadership and a lifelong passion for learning to our schools. He holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education from East Central University, a Master’s in Educational Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and has completed all coursework toward a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of North Texas. As the former principal of McKinney High School, Alan led 3,000 students and 250 staff, fostering a culture of excellence and community. His experience as a music teacher, middle school, and high school principal, gives him a well-rounded view of education. Alan is also proud to be an Eagle Scout and a U.S. Army Reserve veteran.
Kelly is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a strong background in education, leadership, and family relationships. She earned her degree in Business Education and was a Division I athlete at Middle Tennessee State University. Later, she pursued her passion for helping others by earning a master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling from Lamar University. Kelly began her career teaching business and coaching volleyball at McKinney Boyd High School, where she led her team to multiple district championships and state tournament appearances. After welcoming her youngest child, she took time to focus on her family before returning to her calling in education and counseling. Today, Kelly spends her time in schools and in her private practice in McKinney, where she helps couples and individuals strengthen their relationships and create deeper connection.
We’re proud parents of four amazing kids, all Primrose graduates. Alec, 27, teaches high school math in Austin ISD after graduating from the University of Utah. Ali, 20, is studying at the University of Florida and is a passionate equestrian, dreaming of a career in that world after graduation. Quinn, 10, is an enthusiastic baseball player, and Erin, 7, is all about cheerleading and everything girly. Outside of school, you’ll often find us playing with our bernedoodle, Coco, and taking every opportunity we can to travel!
As parents, we understand how important the decision of choosing childcare is for your unique child. We are confident you will be impressed with our school as we partner with you to nurture and educate your child. We look forward to meeting you!
