Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Stephanie
Stephanie
Lead Teacher

Stephanie comes to Primrose with over eight years of experience working with young learners. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Lehman College and her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercy University. Stephanie is currently pursuing her certification in Birth – 2nd grade. She began her journey as an educator by working in a home day care and continued on to work as a Teacher Assistant at a larger early childhood care program. Stephanie has experience with students 2 months to 10 years old. She is excited to join the Primrose of Manhattan team because she loves the emphasis on community that the school has and looks forward to building meaningful connections!

Lead Teacher

Marsha comes to Primrose with over seven years of experience working with young learners. She began her teaching journey by working with children ages two to five years old. Marsha enjoys working with children because she loves their curiosity, and their willingness to learn and inquire about the world around them. She earned her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lehman College, and is currently pursuing her NYS Certification Birth – 2nd grade. Marsha also earned her Associate’s Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Bronx Community College. Marsha is excited to learn more about the students and families at Primrose of Manhattan!

Bianka began working with young learners as a volunteer and was able to progress into a Teachers Assistant. She earned her Associate Degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College. She looks forward to pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree soon. Bianka enjoys working with young children because they always make it worth it! Working with young children makes her feel happy and gives her a sense of purpose to continue giving her all every day. Bianka is so excited to meet all of the children and families at Primrose of Manhattan.

Amaris comes to Primrose with over six years of experience working with children ages two to five years old. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from New York City College of Technology and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Touro College. She began her educational journey as a senior in High School working as a teacher’s aide, where she found a passion and love for education. Amaris continued to work as a Teacher Assistant with children in various early childhood environments. She enjoys working with children because she loves to see how much they grow throughout the year and learn and develop new skills. She is excited to learn all about the families and students at Primrose of Manhattan!
